Common questions

How do I reset my password?
Tap “Forgot password” on the sign-in screen. You’ll get an email with a secure reset link that expires shortly after it is issued.
How do I join my dojang?
Open Dojangs, find your club and tap join. Your instructor approves the request, which then unlocks attendance check-in and grading progress for that dojang.
How do I enter a tournament?
Open Events, choose the tournament and tap “Enter This Tournament”. The three-step wizard captures the competitor details, the events being entered and the digital indemnity signature.
Why does check-in need my location?
Attendance check-in reads your GPS position once, only when you tap the button, to confirm you are at the dojang. It is never read in the background and you can decline the permission.
How do I become a certified umpire in the app?
Open Umpire Training, work through the course modules and take the 18-question exam. 80% or above certifies you as Class C, B or A depending on your score.

Delete your account and data

This section explains how to delete your account for Do It Right Productions — the app and the developer name shown on our Google Play store listing — and the data associated with it. The app is operated by Do It Right Productions (George Cry).

You can delete your account yourself inside the app in under a minute, or ask us to do it for you. Both routes are set out below, followed by exactly what is deleted, what is kept, and for how long.

Questions: george@doitright.productions

Option 1 — delete it yourself in the app (instant)

1. Open the Do It Right Productions app and sign in.

2. Tap Profile in the bottom navigation bar.

3. Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen and tap “Delete Account”.

4. Type your own account email address, then type the word DELETE to confirm.

5. Tap “Delete my account permanently”. Your account is erased immediately and you are signed out. Nothing is queued and nothing needs our approval.

Option 2 — ask us to delete it (if you cannot sign in)

1. Email george@doitright.productions from the email address registered on your account, with the subject line “Delete my account”.

2. Or fill in the request form at the bottom of this page — it works without signing in.

3. We verify that the request comes from the account holder, then delete the account. We complete this within 30 days, and usually within 7 days.

4. We reply to confirm once the deletion is done.

Data that is permanently deleted

Your account itself, your name, email address and password.

Your profile photo, belt rank, country, date of birth and personal details.

Your training records — pattern progress, syllabus checklists, XP, achievements and streaks.

Your class attendance records and the GPS check-in locations stored with them.

Your dojang memberships and role requests.

Your photo and video album, and every file or image you uploaded.

Your messages, group memberships and any message reports you filed.

Your tournament and grading entries, signed indemnity forms and submitted forms.

Your umpire course progress, exam results and certification records.

Any issue reports you submitted, including attached screenshots.

Data that may be kept, and why

Published competition results. Where you placed in a public tournament — a division podium or a published bracket — forms part of the official sporting record of that event, so your name may remain against that historical result. This is standard practice for martial-arts competition records.

Published grading rankings derived from those official results, for the same reason.

Anonymised, aggregated statistics that can no longer be linked back to you, for example “42 students attended this class”.

Records we are required by law to keep, and only for as long as the law requires.

Retention periods

Deleting your account in the app removes your data from the live app immediately.

Encrypted backups held by our hosting providers rotate on a rolling cycle, and any residual copy of your data is purged within 90 days of deletion. It is not accessible in the app during that period.

Server error and security logs may hold technical records of requests for up to 90 days, after which they are deleted automatically.

Nothing is retained for marketing. We do not sell or share your personal data, and there are no advertising networks in the app.

Deleting some of your data without closing your account

You do not have to close your account to remove individual data. In the app you can delete any album photo or video, delete messages you sent, leave a dojang (which removes you from its roster), withdraw a tournament entry, and clear optional profile details such as your photo, country or date of birth.

To have a whole category of data erased while keeping your account — for example all of your stored check-in locations, or your entire media album — email george@doitright.productions with the subject line “Delete my data”, or use the form below and choose “Only some of my data”. We action it within 30 days and confirm by email.

You can also withdraw consent for location check-ins at any time by turning off the location permission for the app in your device settings. The rest of the app keeps working.

Request deletion by form

Use this if you cannot sign in to the app. Submit it from the email address on your account so we can verify the request. You can also email george@doitright.productions directly.
